My cousin Amy, her husband Charles, and their three kids came to visit Tivoli and the farm last weekend. James (age 8), Ben (age 5) and Will (age 2) were natural farmers. While Will did a lot of toddling about and closing chicken house doors, James and Ben caught wayward chickens, gave out feed, and most importantly bottle fed the two lambs. They also rode on McGinty, our ornery donkey. I loved having their company and their help for weekend chore duty. They hope to be back in August and James has already begun negotiating his schedule and salary for next summer.
